‘Twas the night before deadline, and throughout jbj’s bay,
Not a coupling was rattling, not one out of sway.

The bellhousings were stacked by the workbench with care,
In hopes that the client soon would be there.

The hydraulic pumps and motors all snug in their crates,
While visions of torque specs danced through the engineers’ fates.

And Sarah in safety goggles, and I in steel toes,
Had just shut down laptops and ended our flows.

When out on the floor there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.

Away to the mezzanine I flew like a flash,
Dodged carts full of parts and a toolbox crash.

The LEDs on new bellhousings glimmered like day,
Giving bright lustre to projects in array.

When, what to my wondering, tired eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh rig, with eight drone-powered gear.

With a pilot in overalls, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than conveyors his quadrotors came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

“Now Coupling! Now Bellhousing! Now Pump and Motor!
On Torque Wrench! On Lathe! On Caliper and Rotor!

”To the top of the mezzanine! To the end of the line!
Check alignment and fit, every part must shine!

As dry nuts before the hurricane fly,
When engineers see deadlines, they cannot deny,
‍
So up to the ceiling the drone sleigh then flew,
With jbj Techniques’ logo proudly in view.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the floor
The stamping of wrenches and trolleys once more.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
Adjusted the couplings, gave the pumps a small jerk.

He tightened each bolt, and aligned every gear,
Then gave a small nod full of technical cheer.

Then laying a torque wrench beside the last motor,
He sprang to his sleigh, and called out to the rotor:

“Happy building to all, keep tolerances right,
From jbj Techniques, may your deadlines take flight!”
