E D F A B H J K G Straight Bore M A B J G K D E Tapered Bore Rubber block drives for internal combustion engine power transmission applications that do not require a disconnect clutch. The design is similar to a gear tooth drive except that the gear teeth are moulded blocks. Two types of blocks are currently available. The mating driving ring is precision shaped for the blocks and is bolted directly to the engine flywheel. The rubber block drive can absorb a reasonable amount of angular and parallel misalignment and is installed without the usual pilot bearing in the engine flywheel cavity. These type of drives are perfectly suited to installations such as pumps, compressors and single and double bearing generator drives. Standard sizes available include 11, 14, 18 and 21 inch units. Other sizes are available in production quantities only. These drives consist of a drive spider, a driving ring and rubber blocks. The drive can also be supplied with a shaft, bearings and a bellhousing in certain sizes. These units are designed for industrial engines having SAE flywheel housings. The single row, 11 inch version can be installed on engines with an SAE No.2 housing. The single and double row 14 inch rubber block drive PTO units can be installed on engines with SAE No.1 or No.0 housings.
