Hydraulic Adaptors

jbj Techniques’ selection of engine output adaptors allow components to be close coupled to the prime mover and ensure a compact, reliable and easy installation. Be it an oil hydraulic pump, water pump, generator or gearbox drive, jbj Techniques have a suitable solution, for all engines with SAE dimensions and also those that do not conform to these standards. A complete product range is also available to suit small petrol engines.

Front mounting adaptors for air-cooled diesel engines feature a front PTO facility. The drive couplings are individually tailored to suit.
Our in-house design enables the connection of a vast range of
hydraulic pumps to all proprietary diesel and petrol engines.
» ATEX certificated for zone 1 environments.

A range of
clutches is also available with a hydraulic pump adaptor in place of an output shaft. The pump adaptors take the same form as offered on jbj's AM multiple pump drive units (see below), but the selection may be restricted by certain combinations of pump and clutch. Models in the AM series of hydraulic pump drives available allow two or more hydraulic pumps to be operated simultaneously from a single prime mover. Most models in the range can be supplied as a basic model for independent mounting, with an over-centre industrial clutch, or with housing and coupling connections for a diesel engine. The pump housing is made from cast iron. The straight-tooth gears and the shafts are both case hardened steel. Silicon seals are used on the input shaft. The pump drives can be modified for connection to diesel engines, with flywheel and flywheel housing dimensions according to SAE standards.

Correct choice of lubricant is dependent on ambient temperature. Gear lube oils with EP additive and a minimum viscosity index of 95 are recommended. The oil should be replaced after the first 50 hours and thereafter every 1000 hours or 12 months. Because the oil working temperature must not exceed 105°C, for some applications, a cooling system is recommended and this is available on many of the models in the range.
